Small company from a small town

Founded in 2013 by Terry Erickson, CodeSatellite is a freelance software development company. The company is located in Lawrence, Kansas, a small town just to the west of Kansas City and the home of Kansas University. Having spent years as part of a small, successful startup company, Erickson acquired knowledge of what it takes to build products that keep up with the ever-increasing demands of customers.

Work Experience

Terry Erickson has over 18 years of experience related to software design, development, testing, and support using various programming frameworks and tools. Some of his earliest projects included leading the development of the user interface and charting components for Formula One for Java and Actuate's eSpreadsheet. In 2005, he joined SpreadsheetGear as Chief Software Architect just prior to releasing the first version of SpreadsheetGear for .NET. Some responsibilities at SpreadsheetGear included leading the development of the user interface and charting components, building and maintaining the company website, providing technical support to customers, along with many other tasks.

Coding the Microsoft .NET Framework

CodeSatellite specializes in custom software development and consulting services for the Microsoft .NET Framework. The CodeSatellite website is built on ASP.NET MVC and utilizes technologies such as Razor, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap. We use Visual Studio for designing and coding, Team Foundation Services for off-site source control management, and Microsoft Azure to host our website in the cloud.
